I saw this cream on the internet and for sure I wanted to give it a shot myself. Looking through the prices, I have found that it costs about $28. Not actually really affordable, though a thousand of positive and rave reviews of it quickly made me change my mind. And I eventually ordered it online.

The cream arrived packed with a cardboard box which also had huge instructions inside.

They claim that this product is actually a moisturizing multi-tasker of lightweight formula which works wonders as a makeup primer.

By the way, the tube is made of metal, this is why it quickly loses its trade dress. But on the other hand it was safety sealed, so I could be sure that no one ever touched or opened it before me.

The moisturizer expires within 12 months, which is rather long.
The tube has 75ml of the cream, and it goes a long way.
All the product promises and deets are given here on the box in English and French.

What I really appreciate about this cream is that it flatters all skin types. But in my case, it turned out to be more complicated than I used to presume.
The ingredients are far from being natural, but the brand doesn’t seem to be pretending to be “green” or natural. So, there’s nothing more to say about here.

I guess that it’s all because of those non-natural ingredients, the product can boast with such a long shelf life. It must be used by 2021!

By the way, the bar code is French. This is also a very important thing to pay attention to if you don’t want to buy a fake.
What about the moisturizer itself?
The first thing that was rather repulsive for me was the smell. It smells of some chemicals to me and the smell is heavy and lingering to my skin. I feel like a grandma with her stinky facial cream. The smell stays on my skin for some time and then disappears.
The product is white and rather runny consistency-wise. I take it as a lightweight moisturizer.
Thanks to this consistency, the product is super easy to distribute over my skin. It doesn’t run off my skin, which is also very pleasant.

This amount that I applied over my hand will be enough to use within a few days. The cream is super economical!
A few words about my skin:
It’s of normal type, there’s no couperosis or acne. It’s a tad oily in my T-zone and forehead, especially during summer time. However, in winter (exactly the time when I was testing this moisturizer) it’s almost fuss-free.
My skin is aging and there are some fine lines. The cream doesn’t promise to make it look young again, but I expect a good moisture from it and good reaction of my skin, since it’s tend to be allergic sometimes.
My impressions of use:
I apply this cream once a day as a makeup primer. And I have to say that it does its job nicely. My makeup stays on well over this moisturizer and never creases. The moisturizer doesn’t take long to sink in (about 10 minutes) and it doesn’t leave any sticky film behind. If only there wasn’t that nasty smell to it, then the product might have become a Holy Grail for me.
However, after 7 or 10 days after use, my skin has become irritated and as though tightened.
I didn’t want to pay a lot of attention to those feelings and kept on using this moisturizer.
Unless one day I woke up with some red spots over on my cheeks and flakey forehead.

Oh, well, I was so disappointed that I had to pay $28 for this cream and eventually end up with such a horrible result.
Does it mean that the Embryolisse moisturizer was moisturizing my skin for 10 days in a row and after that it left me with allergic reactions that caused reddening and flakey skin?
I decided to give this product a second chance. I felt too sorry to throw it away and started to use it as a hand cream. And I confess that this moisturizer is a disaster even if I use it on my hands. The skin on my hands looked as though bubbling and in general it was really flaking off.
In the end I came to the conclusion that there isn’t a body part of mine which could bear this moisturizer. Maybe my skin is too sensitive and gentle for it. Maybe it can’t handle all those chemical ingredients which are used for the formula.
I don’t claim that this product is bad and will never work for anybody. Maybe it’ll find its fans, especially because of its weightless texture and moisturizing effects. But it doesn’t work for my skin. So, if you’re tend to allergic reactions, then I advise you to think it over again and again before splurging on this moisturizing concentrate by Embryolisse.
