Hello guys!
When we rest, our skin should rest as well, so an overnight skin care routine is very important. I like the Midnight collection by Kiehl's. And today I want to make a review of their Midnight Recovery Concentrate.
Packaging:
The concentrate is housed in a beautiful dark blue glass bottle.
Size: 30 ml
There are also packagings of 15 and 50ml.
The bottle has a very convenient glass dropper in it. The dropper works well and it always gives out the right amount of the concentrate. To get the concentrate out, you need to press a small button on the top of the bottle’s cap.
Product says:
Midnight Recovery Concentrate restores and replenishes for smoother, healthier-looking skin—all while you sleep. This powerful formula works at night when skin is most receptive to repairing itself from daily aggressors. A blend of oils—including naturally-derived lavender, evening primrose, and squalene—to deliver essential hydration and promote a softer, smoother, brighter complexion.
Formulated without parabens, mineral oils or fragrances
The concentrate is of translucent color with a slight yellow cast to it. Texture-wise, it’s a mixture if liquid and oily consistencies. The aroma is very pleasant and I can clearly feel lavender and evening primrose notes to it.

My impressions of use and results:
Frankly speaking, I was rather surprised when I saw so many negative reviews of this product. And I think the presence of negative reviews along with rave and positive ones only proves that we are all different, with different skin types and different reactions.
I’m 35 years old and I have combination skin type. My skin is acne prone and also I can see aging changes to it like wrinkles and elasticity loss.
I usually apply the concentrate on my clean skin nightly. The product is extremely economical: 3 drops are enough for my face and neck. I presume that this bottle will last for several months.
The oil is easy to spread all over the face, it gives instant moisture and eliminates tightening feelings. I don’t apply any evening nourishing creams over it, as I’m pretty satisfied with the moisture this concentrate provides me with.
It sinks in rather quickly, yet the oily sheen and film are still there for some time, but it doesn't annoy me.
The obvious results I can see in the morning:
- my skin looks refreshed and supple
- it feels moisturized
- no oily sheen by the morning. This product doesn’t clog pores or makes me break out
- my skin feels elastic
The product really restores and rejuvenates my skin and I can see it!
This concentrate I use along with an eye cream by the same brand:
