Hello everyone! Smile

I want to tell you a few words about my skin care routine.

My skin tends to be oily and acne prone. I also have enlarged pores. These are the products which literally help me to control my skin condition and keep it more or less clean:

The first step - makeup removing. I do it with the Biore makeup remover (overnight only)

The second step - La Roche-Posay cleansing gel

The third step - tonner by Andalou Naturals

The fourth step - La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Fluide (only in the morning)

The fifth step - eye cream by Devita.

And this peeling mask by The Ordinary is a very important helper for me!

Product promises:

The first in the ingredients goes the glycolic acid.

Alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA) exfoliate the skin's topmost surface for a brighter and more even appearance. Beta hydroxyl acids (BHA) also exfoliate the skin with an extended function to help clear pore congestion. This combined 29% AHA/BHA solution offers deeper exfoliation to help fight visible blemishes and for improved skin radiance. The formula also improves the appearance of skin texture and reduces the look of fine lines with continued use.

This formula contains a studied Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative to help reduce irritation associated with acid use. This derivative is of plant origin and varies in colour seasonally and this colour variation may be apparent in the formula from time to time. This formula is further supported with a crosspolymer form of hyaluronic acid for comfort, Vitamin B5 to assist healing and black carrot as an antioxidant.

Also there’s salicylic acid to the ingredients as well.

This formula contains a very high concentration of free acids. We recommend use only if you are an experienced user of acid exfoliation and your skin is not sensitive.

Contraindications: This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided.

How I use it:

I apply the product on my clean and dry skin (all over the face). I leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse off.

After rinsing off I can feel that my skin is tightened, so I usually apply the Andalou Naturals hydration mask.

And usually this mask sinks in my skin about 20-30% but after this peeling mask the sinking in is up to 80%.

I wash the leftovers of the mask and apply a moisturizing cream.

I use this mask 1-2 times a week and only overnight.

Impressions of use:

After this mask my skin feels wonderful! One day I do the mask and the next day my skin is glowing with health (and doesn’t shine oily in the T-zone as usual) I can see that beautiful glow on my cheekbones and brow bones.

The skin tones becomes more even and I've noticed that my the skin produces less oil in general.

The mask reduces the appearance of acne spots that I used to have on my chin. I think they have become almost undetectable.

I really appreciate the acne fighting which the product shows. You know when there are some pimples that are almost here to appear which are very painful and sore.

Unfortunately I haven’t noticed any pore cleansing and still I have to cleanse them additionally, especially on my nose.

It’s noteworthy:

  • Be very careful if your skin is sensitive. It isn’t a gentle mask, you know, and it does tingle my skin a lot.

  • Even though the percentage of acids is huge there, the mask is fine to be used at home, as the pH 3,6 balances it nicely. In spas they use the pH. 1,9, for example. Such pH can’t be used at home ever. They need professional care and neutralization.

  • Make sure to use the SPF infused products as acids make my skin very much prone to sun damage

Texture:

It’s runny and liquid-y. Though it isn’t as runny as water.

Unscented.

My skin looks vinous with this mask on. It looks rather funny.

Where to buy:

I know 3 online shops where I can buy it, but this very mask is constantly sold out there. So, get ready to hunt a little before you’ll actually be able to get your hands on this product.

Price:

The price is ridiculous - $10 give or take, depending on the place where you buy it.

I definitely recommend this The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 10-minute Miracle Exfoliating Facial Mask for those with oily and problematic skin.

Yet still it might be a good idea to consult your skin specialist or cosmetician before purchasing.
