Hello pretties! I have a lot of products by The Ordinary brand. Today I want to speak you through the very hyped and at the same time "terrifying" product which is The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution.
This peeling, as many other products by the brand, comes with a matte glass dropper bottle. It looks very cute and pharmacy-like.
Size - 30 ml
Made in Canada
The brand doesn’t test on animals
pH level is 3.6.
Glycolic Acid, Aqua (Water), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Daucus Carota Sativa Extract, Propanediol, Cocamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Salicylic Acid, Potassium Citrate, Lactic Acid, Tartaric Acid, Citric Acid, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit/Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Xanthan gum, Polysorbate 20, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol
The product has quite a runny and liquid-y consistency. It’s a little bit thicker than usual water. The color is bright and red. It looks effective by the way. On my face the product doesn’t look as bright as in the bottle yet still I won’t recommend you use it when your family is at home and if they are usually afraid of everything. It’s better to wait when you’re alone.
It’s understandable from the name of the peeling, that the product is infused with acids. By the way the percent of acids is high here, in comparison with all the other acid products that we use at home, for instance. Here you can find glycolic, salicylic, lactic and tartaric acids.
You should be very careful with this product as it’s concentrate. They give very exact directions for use and I recommend you follow them all the way through. It’s better to apply the product in the evening, 1 or 2 times every 2 weeks.
If you use The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, then sunscreen is a must for you with the SPF no less than 25-30.
Before using, you need to clean you skin well and let it dry. It’s very important to apply the peeling over your dry skin to avoid discomforting and tingling feelings.
Apply the product with a thin layer over your skin leaving out the eye and lip area. During the first couple of uses I experienced quite severe tingling effects of my skin. I could literally feel how the blood was reaching my skin better. Later on these feelings disappeared.
Leave a mask on for 10 minutes.
After that you’ll need to wash the mask off with warm water. It’s very important to avoid your eyes when removing.
After using, I can feel that my skin is slightly tightened, that’s why I prefer to apply a good nourishing face cream or a face oil overnight or sometimes I even make a hydrating mask all over my face.
I have normal skin type though it tends to be oily in my T-zone. I also suffer blackheads and enlarged pores on my nose. I hardly ever have blemishes like acne or pimples. Even though they disappear quite fast, the acne spots stay on for rather long indeed.
I expected a smooth and even skin tone, reduced acne scars and peeling from this product. And you know, I actually got it all. My skin has really started to look better, the skin relief has become smoother and the acne spots are now less obvious.
The product doesn’t provoke skin flaking and I also noticed that it fights those flakey bits well on my skin (if there are some, of course).
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution deserves all the praise it’s got now. It works and you’ll see the result even after the first use. The product is absolutely affordable as it doesn’t cost a fortune.I’m sure to repurchase, the only trouble about it is that it’s usually out of stock everywhere.
Thanks for your attention to my post! Be always gorgeous and have a pleasant shopping day!
