Today I’d like to keep on reviewing the Becca products. Last time I was talking about the Becca Backlight Priming Filter and now I’d like to share my thoughts on the compact highlighter in the shade #Opal.

The Becca highlighters are long thought to be one of the best or even the best highlighters on the market.

This baby-highlighter weighs only 2.4 g and comes packed in a plastic and simple compact with a mirror inside.

The texture is soft and highly pigmented. The shade #Opal falls out from the other shades due to a bright and metallic finish.

Those who are fond of intense glow will love this shade! But I should say that these girls should have perfect skin. Otherwise you get an uneven and ‘bumpy’ coverage instead of airbrushed looking skin if applying the product too actively.

I prefer using a soft, fluffy and not tightly packed brush for this highlighter. I have a Real Technique Setting Brush for that purpose. It blends out the product really well and I get a very gentle finish that is noticeable on my skin.

The shade #Opal is not so simple as it may look at first glance. It looks cold and platinum in the swatches, and golden in person. When it’s sunny, you get the nice overflow from golden to pink.

To get this overflow, I’ve been waiting really long for the sun to come out.

Keep in mind that this shade has a distinct color, so it’s not good for fair-skinned girls. This highlighter looks amazing against tanned skin tones.

The staying power is amazing. The glow stays in place till the evening.

Comparing it to the other highlighters I have, this option doesn’t have such an even texture as the others. However, it gives an intense and extremely bright glow that blends out easy-breezy.

Conclusion: Although I loved the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed #Opal Highlighter, I wouldn’t call it the best I’ve ever used. Anyway, I will recommend it to you, especially if you are into bright highlighters and have even, smooth and tanned skin.

Price: $38.
