First of all, I don’t like matte lipsticks, my faves are moisturizing and glossy products. However, Dior has kindly provided me a few products in exchange for an unbiased review. I’ve been testing this lipstick for a long time, and this is my verdict.

Promises:
Design:
Elegant and classy. It’s a black bullet with a silver lining and brand logo. The cap closes with a click. The lipstick itself is very neat.
The fragrance reminds me of the nineties. I mean, it’s not nasty, but I can hardly call it pleasant.
Formula:
The lipstick is matte. It seems soft at first, but during the application I feel how dry it actually is.
Color:
I own the shade 999 matte. It’s very bright and vivid, simply the perfect red. Covers my lips in one coat. There are no glitters in it.
By the way, the color range is really huge, there are matte, satin, glossy lipsticks there.
Coverage
The lipstick covers the natural lip color completely.
My impressions:
Let me start off by saying that most red lipsticks simply don’t suit me. This very shade looks acceptable, but it requires a special look, it’s not for every day. Also, it can emphasize all visible and invisible imperfections (mustache, teeth, pimples). The lipstick requires a thoughtful application, while I always smudged it.
To be honest, I didn’t like this lipstick. It’s a bit too dry. It doesn’t make my lips dry, but I don’t feel comfortable wearing it. It applies perfectly with no clumps or gaps, but after a while, it settles into lip lines.
In general, the lipstick doesn't look so bad, but it feels far from comfortable.
I thought I would be delighted with this, but it didn’t happen. Plus it’s overpriced. I won’t recommend this lipstick in matte, maybe the satin version will be better.
