Lime Crime...So many girls swoon over these unicorns.
Recently I realized that I don’t really like how liquid matte lipsticks look on my lips (I mean all of them, not only Lime Crime). They are beautiful when just applied, but millions of cracks appear on the lips and it looks like an unnatural film. Alas, it’s only beautiful in photos. Anyway, the sight of the new collection took my breath away, and the words ‘I want it!’ kept racing through my mind.
Now my excitement faded away, and I can finally share my thoughts about this lipstick.
First of all, it’s awesome.
Second of all...still awesome.
Fragrance: not so strong, but still sweet and nice
Formula: more watery than of my previous lipsticks.
Sponge: convenient. Also, they must have improved the stopper, because the applicator doesn’t take out as much as before.
A comparison with the Velvetines:
I don’t feel it on my lips, if I wear it in one layer.
A bit sticky.
Lasting, but within reason. It’s kiss-proof and can stay where it belongs after a cup of tea, but not after a burger or KFC wings.
Like all lipsticks, it fades between the lips, but it isn’t eye-catching thanks to the natural coverage.
When applied in 2-3 layers, it’s absolutely identical to Velvetines, both in terms on quality and feeling.
Swatches: in one layer, blended out for a soft effect, in two layers:
This lipstick would suit those who love natural lips and those who have all thumbs like me
Don't let it smudge, or people will think it's a rash.
