I want to confess, but I fell in love with this palette the very moment I saw it on the official site. And together with Venus II they offered a good bargain, so I bought both of palettes.
So, "VENUS:The Grunge Palette"
When I looked at it closer, I thought that it was quite wearable and suitable for everyday make-up. I think, I need to pay more attention to the description of the palette, though I don’t like long descriptions. But the design is just stunning.
The palette is made of the thick cardboard, and initially, it was in the plastic case.
The palette isn’t small and the pictures on it are great!
The palette has a magnet lid, it closes tightly and opens with no effort.

Inside, the beauty continues. There are 8 gorgeous eye shadow colors, and also the mirror of the whole width of the palette.
Texture-wise the eyeshadows are soft and creamy. They are nicely pigmented. I think, it’s one of the palettes in my huge collection, which doesn’t require a primer. And the same goes for the lasting power. The shades stay on for 8 hours without primer, and with it, even more. If to speak about the application, then, here it’s great. The hues blend and applied evenly and don’t need to be layered.
I think, it’s time to have a closer look to the hues.

The upper row from left to right (no primer)
VENUS. Dark red color with brown undertone. It’s said to be matte, but it’s not, I see it as a satin one.
SHELL. Opalescent shell-pink (glow)
AURA. Golden ivory (glow)
CREATION. Rust brown (matte)
The lower row, from the left to the right (no primer)
ICON. Dirt brown (matte).
REBIRTH. The color of an over-ripe nectarine (matte)
DIVINE. Dusty stone, matte. It’s really divine and it’s my favorite from the palette.
MUSE. Deep burgundy red (matte)

I think, a lot of people would say that the colors don’t suit me. And that the red color isn’t the color to wear on the eyes. But the palette is unusual, that’s why it’s great. The palette is for experiments and bold girls, but of course, the colors are wearable, and you can easily create a day make-up with it.
