Today I want to share my impressions of using the Miss Manga mascara by L’oreal. Basically, I love all their mascaras, so once there’s a new one launched, I buy it without any shadow of a doubt. This one caught my attention by its interesting name and the image of a dollish looking girl from a commercial. I can’t say that I fell in love with her eyelashes, no, but sounding promises of mega volume didn’t leave me indifferent.

L'ORÉAL Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Miss Manga mascara features a 360 degree flexor brush to build bold volume with high intensity from top to bottom.

For the first time, L’Oréal Paris creates a flexible brush with a unique conical shape to catch those hard to reach lashes with an incredibly even application.

The Mega Impact Formula instantly builds over-sized volume for 15X lash volume in a flash. Top lashes are amplified and bottom lashes maximized for the ultimate wide-eyed Manga Look.

Volume: 8.5

Color: Blackest Black

Promises: Length and volume

Manufacturer: Italy

Price: $7

Outer appearance. A bumpy tube of pink and black colors really grabs the attention. Quality-wise the packaging is sound, it didn’t become scratched in my make-up bag and the color didn’t fade away. The tube closes with a click. For three months of use my mascara hasn’t lost its esthetical appearance.

Brush. It’s relatively big with the different sized bristles. For me the brush wand is too big for comfortable use. The distinctive feature of this brush is that it bends in different directions. I don’t actually get this idea of the “innovative” brush. Since it’s too movable I can’t coat my lashes well enough.

My lashes are not at all beautiful. They are middle-length and aren’t thick.

Color. When I was buying this mascara there were only two color options to choose from: black and blackest black. I opted for the last one. It’s jet black and very intense. But for me there’s nothing outstanding about it. I also know that the “Black” color looks grey on the eyelashes.

Consistency. It’s creamy, thick and gooey.

The product is wearable only if one layer coated. This way it’ll make your eyelashes longer, coating them from roots to the ends, but at the same time they’ll be stuck together.

If applied in two coats, it’ll definitely make your eyelashes more voluminous, but only thanks to those annoying clumps, I presume. Two coats look cheap and unnatural.

Staying power. For the first 4 hours of wearing the mascara looks good, if you don’t rub your eyes, get caught in the rain or cry, of course. If you do, it’ll be unconditionally smudged. After 4 hours it starts flaking and crunching.

I remove it with my cleansing lotion or facial cleanser.

Pros:

☑ gives length;

☑ the color.

Cons:

☒ inconvenient brush;

☒ stains my eyelids;

☒ stuck together lashes;

☒ flaking

I can give the Miss Manga mascara 3 stars. For such a price there are many more exemplars with a better performance. Maybe it’ll look good on naturally long and thick eyelashes, I don’t know. But on mine it looks awful. Besides, it doesn’t stay in during the day and flakes. And may smudge, if anything.

So, I don’t recommend this mascara.
