This eyeliner is claimed to be kohl, so I bought it intentionally with a chance to use over my waterline.
It isn’t a retractable eye pencil and it requires sharpening (by the way there are no problems with sharpening indeed). The nib of the pencil is fairly soft. It shows a beautiful and intense color line on my eyelids. The application is soft. I like the way it looks on my skin. The texture is no way dry. It’s very comfortable in wear. I also appreciate the way it holds up on my waterline. Though I have to say that it changes its color to the darker on the waterline. It hasn’t caused any irritation on my skin or waterline (even though my eyes are sensitive)
Staying power.
Soft-textured eyeliners or pencils tend to be not long-wearing and imprinting. But here this Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Eyeliner is the golden middle between the staying power and softness of the pencil. The wear time is good. I can’t say that it's perfect, it can’t be perfect of course because of the soft consistency. But it’s good for me. If I apply it to my upper eyelids then I will see the eyeliner imprinted on my upper lids only after 8 hours of wearing when it’s hot outside. On the waterline it stay on worse - for about 5-6 hours, then it starts to fade delicately.
The Bleu Electrique/Blue Horizon shade. The nib of the product has a very intense and bright deep blue electric color. It’s so bold and vibrant. There are shimmer bits to the formula here. But on the eyelids, I think the color of the pencil looks less bright and more muted. Of course I’d like my eyeliner to be of the same intense color as in the packaging. I wish the manufacturer did it so. But still the color of this Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Eyeliner isn’t for everybody. But I do like and wear it with great pleasure.
