HI THERE
I heard a good deal about this foundation before. There were both positive and negative reviews, but I always wanted to try it out myself.
VOLUME AND PRICE
Price: $14
Also, I picked up the oil primer from NYX, but I’ll tell about this product a little later.
Volume: 13 ml
THE SHADE AND ITS FORMULA
I was choosing this shade taking in account my summer tan. Usually I pick up light shades, because my skin is very fair, but it’s summer now.
So, I grabbed the shade No. 7.
Country: China
The product was housed in a small package. The bottle is made of matte glass.
The foundation is very liquid and just a little thicker than water So, it comes with a dropper for application, which is very convenient because it goes a long way then.
In the swatches below you can see how it applies to my skin:
I love such a formula. It’s lightweight and a few drops are enough to cover the whole face. But it doesn’t feel mask like.
INGREDIENTS
On the back you can see the list of ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycerin, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Propylene Glycol, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Isododecane, Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Polymethyl Methacrylate Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Propylene Carbonate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol
On the package you can also find a picture that shows how thick the coverage is.
How do I use it?
I haven't been applying foundations to just my bare skin for quite a long time. My skin type is DRY. This is how it looks without makeup
My complexion is definitely not even, plus I have some insignificant pigment spots around my eyes.
There is also another issue, which is white closed comedones that I don’t know how to remove. Moreover, I have blackheads, but don’t expect this foundation to cover them up completely.
When applying this foundation without prep, I get awful skin with all the imperfections visible: dry patches, enlarged pores, etc.
So, I usually use a good moisturizing cream or a primer beforehand. This time I purchased an oil primer from NYX.
First I use micellar water for my clean skin and then only the oil primer. The oil moisturizes my skin very well and gives it some glow without making my skin look too greasy. I don’t know how the oil behaves against oily skin, but it matches my dry skin type perfectly I love this light glow that is even visible after putting on the foundation
After that I take a thick brush and use just a few drops of the foundation:
Then I blend it out properly. At first it seems that the coverage is streaky, but it won't be if you work with a brush more carefully
RESULTS
The difference is obvious and here are the results:
My complexion looks more even and a little bit lighter
My skin looks refreshed
Some glow is visible
The blemishes are gone
Doesn’t emphasize any peeling, but I guess the primer is more responsible for that.
FULL FACE
Also, I’d like to show you the total look with this foundation:
In my opinion, the product is awesome. It’s lightweight, undetectable on my skin and doesn’t clog my pores. It evens out my skin tone and removes some red undertones.
Here is a close-up: The blackheads are noticeable, but as I’ve already said, it’s my fault. I just have to find time and remove them
As soon as they are gone, the result will be FLAWLESS!
Highly recommended! I’m glad that I purchased it
