Last October the Tarte brand was celebrating its birthday and they treated us with a lot of discounted products! I didn’t miss the festival and placed my order as well.
So, meet Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint limited-edition in the color Festival (Nude Mauve)
Made in the USA
Expires within 6 months of use
Price: $20 (I bought it discounted)
By the way, the brand is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.
It’s rather standard for liquid lipsticks. The tube is adorned with golden lettering. Inside it has a felt-tipped applicator. The packaging looks so-so, as though from a mass-market brand. By the way, the shade of mine is a part of the limited-edition collection, that’s why it has a colorful sticker on the cap. If you carry it in your bag, it’ll quickly become worn out and lose its trade dress. I carry it in my makeup bag, so it looks great and I feel so proud taking it out.

Creamy and gentle. The product is easy to apply with a thin and velvet layer. The felt tip is convenient to trace with the formula. It’s gorgeous, highly pigmented and matte. This shade is a magnificent nude, which is mauve. It’s from the limited edition collection. The sticker here indicates all that. The permanent collection has the black top cap and 25 shades. Such a selection!
The formula is phthalates- and paraben-free.
However, it’s infused with concentrated mineral pigmented and peppermint oil, which makes my lips so pouty and seductive for several hours!
Even though the formula contains peppermint, the smell is barely there. It isn’t chasing or anything. After the application, it vanishes.
The wand is convenient to use
The product is setting on my lips, yet still, I feel comfortable to wear it. As a result, my lips are matte. If you dare to eat anything, the lipstick will live through it. It is wear-proof. I appreciate that because in winter I usually wear scarves and here my lips won’t stain them.

In the end, Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint limited-edition is an immediately setting lipstick!
It’s noteworthy that I don’t experience any discomforting feeling. The formula is able to stay put through a bite. Well, maybe it will fade only from the inner lip.
It isn’t the best option to pack the coverage, so it’s better to wash it off and apply once again.
This shade is one of my favorite ones - such a cool mauve nude for everyday wear.
In general, the product is nice and wearable. But, as all other matte lipsticks, this one dries out my lips, so if your lips are permanently chapped and flaking, it isn’t a good option for you.
Thanks for your attention!
