Hello beauties!
The cosmetics industry is now developing with cosmic speed, new brands, textures, shades are constantly appearing on the market. When I first knew about the French Viseart brand, I quickly had a desire to give it a go, because there were rumors on the net that they offer the best eyeshadows which can easily bite even the Tom Ford products.
Recently I replenished my makeup collection with the mini Viseart EyeShadow Palette Petit PRO, which I’m actually going to make a review today.
Package- and design-wise the palette looks top notch - branded box, the minimum of details and aesthetics of the professional makeup.
The palette is a thick and good quality cardboard. It has a soft touch cover, which is pleasant to the touch, but it gladly gathers all the fingerprints, though. The palette has a small mirror inside, refill pans and a plastic inner liner.
Size - 8g. Each refill pan is rather small, that’s why the palette doesn’t offer a lot of contents. 8g might seem too small, but, honestly, there still isn’t any palette in my collection that is used up, even though I have plenty of palettes. When calculating the cost per gram, the amount seems to be far from affordable, right?
Country of origin - France
Expires within 36 months of opening.
If one can find this informative, then I have to say that the products are talc-based. I took a photo of the ingredients.
A special distinctive branded sign of Viseart is the make-up chair.
Even though the palette is really miniature, it contains 8 shades of shadows of two textures: matte and shimmer.
For you to get its sizes better I placed it together with the other “small” palettes of mine - Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics and Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette.
All the shades are fairly tightly pressed, which excludes dusting. The matte textures are dry to my liking, yet still it isn’t difficult to pick them up with my finger, as well as with a brush.
The shimmers are very soft and gentle to the touch.
In general, their pigmentation is normal, yet some shades confuse me a little. I can wear them the entire day over a primer and I don’t ever wear my eyeshadows without a base.
Let’s have a thorough look at each shade separately.
The upper row:
Vellum - matte off white color. Average pigmentation and you’ll have to pack it to get beautiful coverage. My favorite among the similar ones is Matt Malloy from the palette theBalm Meet Matt(e) Nude Eyeshadow palette.
Tawny - matte taupe with bog undertones. It’s an excellent blending and crease color. But the pigmentation also seems to be pretty average.
Merlot - matte plum color. Beautiful and classy shade.
Cappuccino - matte brown-gray with army green undertones. It’s good for the darkening of the crease and smokey eyes. It goes well with the Tawny color.
All the shades have fantastic blending, they are easy to layer as well as pair with other colors from different palettes.
Lower row:
Starlight - shimmer cream brulee with a barely detectable tiny silver shimmer.
Medallion - dark golden shimmer hue
Copper - shimmer bronze color
Scarlet - shimmery vinous-purple shade.
All the shimmers apply well with a dry brush, but they show better pigmentation if I apply them with my finger or use a wet brush.
A photo of all the shades swatched. I applied them all with my finger over my nude skin. I didn’t use a primer before.
The palette has versatile shades and I can come up with daytime makeup, as well as create beautiful accented smokey eyes with this palette.
And thanks to its compact size, the Viseart Petit PRO EyeShadow Palette is so nice for trips.
Here are some makeup looks that I do, using this palette.
I used the shades Vellum, Tawny, Cappucino, Medallion and Copper.
In this makeup the shades Vellum, Merlot, Cappucino, Starlight and Copper were used.
The highlighter is Becca x SANANAS Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter Parisian Lights.
This makeup look was done with the Tawny, Merlot, Cappucino and Scarlet shades. Highlighter - Becca Prismatic Amethyst Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed.
I'm not disappointed with my purchase. Is it the best eyeshadow in the market? Probably for somebody else, but not for me. It is good, nice quality and I really expected some miracle from it, which didn’t happen, you see.
These shades are pleasant to use, yet still my all time faves are from Urban Decay and Anastasia Beverly Hills.
