Pros: a little goes a long way, affordable price, it doesn’t leave any sticky feel behind, pleasant scent, sinks in quickly
Cons: ingredients, it leaves wet feeling behind

I like it when there’s an opportunity to test a mini or a sample of big-sized products. This is actually what my Cococare moisturizer is. I bought this sample for one euro. I needed this babe because I wanted to have a small throw-in-a-handbag kinda hand cream to carry around. I always want to moisturize my hands while going somewhere or just while walking.

I was hooked on the product promises and in general the ingredients promised to be filled with oils. I love thick and oil infused textures, as they are a magic wand for my dry skin.

  • Price: 1.30 euros

  • Size: 28.30g

  • Made in the USA

  • Package

My mini retails with a small plastic yellow soft tube. The full sized product comes with a 400 something gram in a big jar.

I really like the design of my sample. Thanks to the small size, it can easily fit into the smallest clutch. And because of the bright and yellow color, it’ll be very easy to find, even if you have the biggest and messiest handbag.

The cap is flip-top and it closes with a click. The nozzle is rather small. Even if I store the product vertically, it never leaks or stains the inside of the top cap or a nozzle.

  • Ingredients

Water (aqua), stearic acid, cocoa butter (theobroma cacao), mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum), cetyl alcohol, triethanolamine, polysorbate 20, EDTA, methylparaben, propylparaben, DMDM hydantoin, fragrance (parfum), FD&C yellow no. 5 (Cl 19140).

  • Product description

The cream is of regular thickness. It has a white color with a hint of pearlescent cast to it, if you look very very close. (It’ll be more detectable in the bright sunlight).

The product smells nicely, though the perfume agents here aren’t potent enough to make them stand out. I definitely can feel the cocoa notes as well as a coconut oil smell. But they are so subtle, that I literally have to poke my nose right to the cream to catch them.

The texture is very pliant and pleasant to use. It’s easy to distribute over my skin. The consistency is gliding and it doesn’t leave any white splotches behind.

It sinks in fairly quickly, though within the first couple of minutes it feels as though my skin is a tad wet, like I didn't wipe my hands after washing.

The cream doesn't leave any sticky film on my hands. This is why I’m not actually afraid to take out my phone or other items, which are highly inconvenient to touch with greasy hands, right after using this product.

If I were to assess the comfort feelings after the use of this cream, I’d give it 5 stars. I really like using it because of the lightweight texture and because of the absence of undesired stickiness on my hands afterwards.

  • Use

I use this cream by Cococare only outdoors. This is my handbag cream.

I use it during the day and naturally after each hand wash.

You see, my skin is very dry, especially on my hands and even in summer. If I wash my hands with soap, then I could see my skin flaking with the naked eye. This is why a hand cream is a must-have for me.

I’ve been using this cream for a month now, or even longer. In general I can use it from one to three times a day. One small pea-sized drop is everything I need to apply over both hands.

The cream goes a really long way. Within a month, I haven’t even used half of the product.

  • My impressions of use

I’ve already mentioned the handy tube and texture of the cream, so now it’s time to speak about the effect this cream can give to my skin.

The product really deprives me from the tightening sensation on my hands. After washing my hands, I always feel how tightened my skin is but this cream beautifully makes these sensations vanish.

The moisture is great. The product doesn’t leave any sticky feelings behind and there are no greasy sensations on my fingers either. However, the product isn’t as perfect as it might seem.

You see, the cream gives such good moisture that it feels as though my hands are wet. And this feeling disappears only after about 10 minutes after the application. Yet at the same time I still can take my phone and other items and they won’t be stained with a greasy residue, which is definitely a plus.

My skin within 30 seconds after the cream application. As you can see from the photo, there aren’t any greasy stains or feelings at all.

One more downside of this moisturizer is that it gives only delicate moisture that doesn’t go deep into my skin or has accumulative effect. The effect stays on my hands for 2 hours or till the moment I wash my hands again. And after that I have to face the tightening sensations again.

It’s understandable that the cream won’t help you if you have some serious skin problems, but it works good as a regular moisturizer. All in all the product is fine for the price. And if we also take into account its spending, then I guess it’ll be okay to close my eyes on some disadvantages and still assess it with 5 stars.

I haven’t tried this cream by Cococare on my other skin parts, but hands only. This time it worked well as a hand moisturizer and helped me to fight palm flaking and dryness.

Overall

  • the product gives pleasant moisture after a handwash

  • it fights dryness and flakey skin

  • it sinks in relatively quickly

  • it doesn’t leave any greasy marks

  • the tube isn’t big and will fit into any purse

  • there’s a light wet sensation left on my hands after application

  • no accumulative effect

It’s a good throw-in-bag cream for me which makes my hands soft to the touch. I doubt to buy a full size, but I guess that I’ll keep on buying such samples for now.

The cream is moisturizing, it gives comfortable and pleasant sensations, though it still has its downsides.

I give it 4 stars and recommend you start with the mini, and only after that decide whether you need the full size or not.

  • Some kind of "dry moisture" for my skin :)

It seemed that this huge jar would be a great helper for my skin, since I had a rather positive experience with cocoa infused butter products before. I really hoped that this cream would be of great use to me and of course that it would be wholesome and natural.
