I’ve been longing to try out some Korean cleansing oils for a while. There are so many products of this kind in the market, and I didn’t want to pay a lot for a product which might not suit me. I was presented with a kit that included a BB cream and a cleansing oil miniature.
There is no dispenser in my miniature, which is quite inconvenient.
A little bit goes a really long way. The formula is transparent and oily.
The scent is quite strong but not irritating. Before using this, I’ve read some reviews, and all of them stated that such oil must be warmed up between dry palms, applied onto DRY skin, massaged and washed off.
My thoughts:
I was afraid this cleansing oil would leave an oily film and clog my pores, but it didn’t. When in contact with water, the oil transforms in a watery substance and becomes easy to wash off with water, without leaving any kind of film or irritation.
The oil easily removes any makeup product. Usually, BB creams are thicker than regular foundation and more long lasting plus contain silicones...Also, there are so many products like powder, bronzer etc. that are applied over BB creams and foundations, and by the end of the day, my oily skin feels really tired. This cleansing oil makes it absolutely clean.
As I’ve mentioned above, the cleansing oil is really economical and I think the full-size bottle will last for an eternity. My oily, porous and sensitive skin has become less shiny and there are less breakouts.
Everything is great, except for a little drawback: after two weeks, I saw that my skin has become more flaky! But most of all, I was bothered with the condition of my thin skin in the eye area. I’m 32, and I do my best to prevent early wrinkles and fine lines in that zone, and everything I’ve been fighting with appeared as though out of nowhere when I started using this cleansing oil. By the way, I never applied this oil onto my eye area directly, but it must have been getting there when I was washing it off, which led to dryness. My skin recovered after two more weeks of intensive treatments, though, and now I know that cleansing oils by this brand are definitely not for me!
